Quiet Terms: Your Data and the Conditions for Reading
- What we write down about you
- Nothing you type, because no page here holds a form. A letter sent to contato@thelongerafternoon.com stays in our inbox, sender and text, while the reply is being written and for a brief while after, so the thread can be found again if you write back.
- Services that see a visit
- Cloudflare carries every page from our host to your screen, and in doing so it handles the plain technical crumbs that travel with any request: the IP number, the browser make, the time of the visit. It uses them to keep the pages up and to fend off abuse. The two typefaces you are reading arrive from Google Fonts each time a page opens, which means Google also sees that request. We pass neither company anything extra.
- Your rights over those details
- Because Bio Chá is a Brazilian company, Law 13.709/2018 governs these details. A letter to the address above is enough to learn which of your details sit with us, to fix a wrong one, to have them deleted, or to hear what they were used for. Replies go out within 15 business days. If our answer leaves you unconvinced, ANPD, Brazil's watchdog for personal data, takes grievances directly.
- Conditions for reading
- Print a note for the fridge, pass one along to a friend, quote a line with the site's name beside it: all welcome. Copying entire pages onto another site needs our written yes first. Wording gets revised from time to time, and the line at the foot of each page shows the month it was last touched.
- Children
- These pages are written for adults and are not aimed at anyone under eighteen.
